My lifelong love of photography began back in my teens when I got my hands on my first camera, a Pentax. I found great enjoyment in taking pictures of family, friends, and nature.

During the 1970’s, I started doing wedding photography for a local shop on the weekends. Pretty soon, it got so busy that this part-time gig was using up every weekend and I was not enjoying it as much as I thought I would have. So I went back to taking my own travel and family photos for fun.

Fast forward to 2016, we're in the world of digital photography. Now I own a Canon 7D.

The cost-effectiveness of digital photography has renewed my passion for taking pictures. I'm doing more travel and landscape work for my photo gallery in Blenheim, Marlborough.

I've recently been commissioned to put a couple of my photos into the front foyer of the local Marlborough Lines Company.

I'm still exploring new ideas and have quite an extensive photo library of all kind of things and am looking forward to more travel to get an even wider range of work.

I'm based in New Zealand but I've travelled to various places around the globe including Vietnam, London, Paris, Dubai, Australia, Hawaiian Islands, and Rarotonga, Malaysia. On the itinerary for 2016 is Tasmania.

My wife Jenny and I live on our own small Vineyard on Rapaura Rd in an area known as the Golden Mile, producing Sauvignon Blanc Grapes for the Mt Riley Brand.
